About Me
Hi, I’m Melissa! I’m a mom to two very active boys, Cole (10) and Blake (7), and wife to a husband who also can’t sit still. Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, I worked as a speech-language pathologist (SLP), specializing in in-home and childcare services for children from birth to age five. During those years, I saw countless play spaces and gained invaluable insights into the connection between organization and fostering functional, developmentally-appropriate environments.
As my boys grew, I found myself naturally helping friends organize their playrooms and toys. That’s how Contained Chaos was born! With my professional background and hands-on experience, I understand how thoughtful organization can encourage creativity, learning, and joy for the entire family.

I create developmentally-appropriate “zones” that encourage play-based learning and make the entire family happy.
